Is there a kit for the supplies for the deer and doe?
Hi Vicki, I’m so sorry but we don’t have a mini kit for the deer and doe ornaments! We do have some supplies to help you get started though. You can find those here: https://theornamentgirl.com/market/product-tag/rudolph-ornament-supplies/
Hello, are the e-books for the reindeer and doe ornaments available? I would love to make these?
Hi Laurie, we’re so glad you love them! This pattern doesn’t include a full eBook, but the video tutorial will take you through making the ornament step by step. We hope you love your ornament!
Love these Reindeer. Made 3 sets for a craft show and sold out. I purchased Maywood Studios Flannel dark brown and light brown fabric from the supply shop a bit ago. Went on line to order some more since it is no longer available on the website. What collection is it? Have some orders to fill and would like to use the same fabric.
Hi Suzanne, thank you so much for reaching out! That fabric is from the Shadow Play line from Maywood Studios. I hope that helps! Happy Ornament-ing!
I purchased the red nose but, how do you attach them? My pin heads go right straight threw them.
Thanks, Debby
The red flocked beads are a little larger, so you may need to use a sequin to help hold the pin on
Where can I get the kit?
Hi Nancy, we do not carry full kits for this ornament, I’m so sorry! We do have some supplies that will help you make your own. You can find those here: https://theornamentgirl.com/market/product-tag/rudolph-ornament-supplies/
Grazie mille!
Sry I just read that it is from the basic Star pattern! Which I have! Thx
How can we get e-books to these video patterns? It’s hard to go back and forth or stop and come back :/ frustrating at times!
Hi Laura, I am so sorry about any frustration! In order to provide the patterns for free, we cannot include an eBook with every design. This ornament is made with the Basic Triangle fold so once you go through it once or twice, you will have it down pretty well. I hope you enjoyed the freebie!
What size eye lashes do you recommend for both deer? The Etsy link you provided has several sizes to choose from.
Hi Debra, the size on the vinyl decals we used on the deer are the 1 x 1/3″ size.
Where do I find the directions to make and attach the ears as in the coloring sheet?
Thank you
Joyce Brewer
Hello I am working on the deer ornaments ad wondered if you could tell me about what size to cut my material for a 2 inch ball to make a baby deer? thanks so much.
Hi Marie, what a fun idea! You can start by cutting your fabric pieces 1/2″ smaller. One thing you might find is that you need to trim your fabrics a little bit as you work on your ornaments to help reduce some of the bulk. Our patterns are only tested on 3″ foam balls, so you may need to experiment a little bit to get the right look. Happy Ornament-ing!
Hello,
I adore this pattern, I have made a beautiful fox using this pattern , hoping to do more woodland animals
Thank you for getting my creative juices flowing!
I love this pattern , so looking forward to making these for my family, I need the pdf file for them , where can I find it , thank you for your time.
Hi Melvina, we do not have a fully written out PDF pattern for the Reindeer because it is a variation of our Basic Star pattern. If you would like the PDF pattern for the Basic Star, you can get that here: https://theornamentgirl.com/market/product/quilted-ball-ornament-pattern/
I really had fun making my Deer ornament. Just waiting for my stick on eyes from Etsy. Now onto the Doe. What a cute couple this will make. I know if I show my nieces they will want to know when I’m making a set for them? I should be a pro by the time I’m finished. Thank you Staci Ann!
To say “Thank you”-is nothing to say. Thank you ,Stacy, very very very much for such interesting and adorable minutes watching this video.I fell in love with your balls. It was so difficult to purchase a couple of them, and now I am looking forward to buying a snowman. The thing is I hadn t seen it when I chose those 2 patterns which I could order. It is so cute and lovely. I am sure my grandkids will love it most of all baubles.I will be waiting for another chance to buy it ( if there will be such)
These are just the cutest baubles! Wish I found this for this Christmas but a project for next Christmas.
Is there a link for the eyelashes supplier(s) on Etsy? I don’t have a Cricut machine.
Yes, if you download the supply list, the supplies are actually clickable links. You can find the vinyl eyelash decals here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/739003066/set-of-25-eyelash-pairs-decals-unicorn
Thanks for these cute patterns!
Love this pattern. My grandson asked where their ears are. I used the ears from the reindeer variation of the Jingle Elf pattern. Looks great.
Thanks for the idea to use the ears from the Jingle Elf pattern. I used 2″ squares, one of each color, and layered them. Worked perfectly.
oh thank you so much, next year for our church ladies sewing group.
thank you for these cute patterns I can’t wait to try them out and now just waiting for my bundle of foam to make the new ornaments. I have a question for you though the star foam will you have that in the list of foam for sale anytime soon. I want to make the Santa and snowman both but I have to have more stars so was wondering when you will have the star for sale? I have 17 Great Grands that I will make the santa for next year for Christmas. or do you know anywhere else to get them but I like getting my foam from you. Merry Christmas to you and your Family Stacy and all your workers too. I finally got my hemi’s all done I will have to try and hang them somewhere to take a picture of them to share with you.
I just found you on You Tube, I love these ornaments. I will be making them for next years gifts, I have always enjoyed making ornaments for my family and friends. I will be checking out some of your other ornaments too.
Thank you so much for sending me these gorgeous patterns. My 4 year old can’t wait for me to make them so she can hang them on her Christmas tree.
Thankyou so much. Absolutely gorgeous
Absolutely darling! Thank you so much for sharing your pattern for the Rudolph and Clarice Deer Ornaments!
Thank you so much for the pattern, looking forward to making these during the Christmas break
How do you do the ears?
Hi Lee, we don’t have exact instructions for the ears, so you’ll need to experiment a little bit on the size. I would start with two 2×3″ pieces of fabric, one in each color and fold them in half. Then I would offset them just a little bit and create a petal type fold. Once it looks how you want it to, you can pin it to the top of the ball before adding the other embellishments. I hope that helps you get started!
On the printable planner & coloring sheet and the pictured ornaments, color 1 is the lighter fabric and color 2 is the darker fabric. However, on your supply list, color 1 is the darker fabric and color 2 is the lighter fabric. You might want to take a look at that.
Hi Judy,
Thank you so much. We will take a look at that as soon as we can. We hope you enjoy the tutorial. Happy Ornament-ing!
I love this cute reindeer ornament. Thank you.

This video is a variation of our Basic Star pattern. All of our patterns are digital, but if you would like to have those instructions written out, you can find the pattern here: https://theornamentgirl.com/market/product/quilted-ball-ornament-pattern/
I hope that helps you get started!

Where did you purchase the “poofy” antlers! These are darling
Replying to myself! I found the antlers in a number of places. Look for FeeFeesSplendor. Had them a lot cheaper than other shops.

How do you put the deer eye applique on? Do you completely cut the lashes out then take the paper off the back or do you just leave some of the plastic around the eye and stick it on? Thank you for the cute patterns.
grazie tanto tanto , complimenti
I love these Deer patterns. Thank you.
Love this pattern. Could I have the name of the fabric used.

Hi Marlene, we used flannel solids from Maywood Studios for these ornaments. I don’t have the exact fabric numbers, but I hope that helps get you started!
