An easy way to divide a 4" Hemi (large) into 4 equal segments (quarters).

You will need...

  • The easy-to-use Printable Ball Marking Strips found below
  • Paper scissors
  • Pen/Pencil/Butterknife/Tucking Tool/Tracing Wheel (any one of these)
  • A couple of pins
  • Flexible tape measure

You can find our Large Soft Foam Hemis, right HERE.

Directions:

  1. Print out the template at 100% (do not re-size or use the 'Shrink to Fit' option on your printer).
  2. Cut out one of the templates.
  3. Pin around the edge of your Foam Hemi.
  4. Use the lines on the template to draw guidelines around the ball (see the video above for instructions).

I was using the template provided to divide a large hemi into quarters.
Putting two sections together (as the template is made for 1/2 the large hemi) I came up 3/8 of an inch short.
Not sure if anyone has reported this in the past. I am making an ornament for a wedding present and discovered this.

      Hi Paulette,
Thank you so much for reaching out! I’m so sorry that you are having trouble with the dividing strip! When you are printing the template, it is important that you do not let your printer “Shrink to fit”. The page needs to be printed at 100%. You should also have a test box on your printed page that measure 1″. These strips are designed for the Large Soft Foam Hemis that are available in The Ornament Girl Supply Shop, so if you are using a different brand, the strip may not work. I hope some of these tips help! If you are still having trouble, please let me know!
