Absolutely disappointing, I have been a customer and been on the waiting list for 2 or 3 years now and I always miss out because I live on the opposite side of the world and they are released while we are asleep. I’ll just unsubscribe there is no point for us over here, this is another year I missed out and instead of being disappointed again I’ll just leave.
Hi Stacey, I am so very sorry about the disappointment! We were not open to international membership during this club opening, I am so incredibly sorry! We do want you to be able to learn this fun craft. If you are hoping to be a member of one of our clubs, I would recommend our digital Ornament Girls Club, which will have a club opening in a few months. Since that club opening is digital, we don’t have to limit the number of members who can join while we’re open, so the time difference wont be a problem. I thoroughly enjoy the designs you present but have been unable to find the process of ordering one of your kits and the cost involved. I understand you are not a large organization but there see to be a lot of disappointed people in your”comment list.
Hi Margaret, I am so very sorry about any disappointment. We are a small team and we cut and assemble our kits by hand so we do have to limit the number of members in our Christmas Club kit. We had 500 spaces available this time and they did all sell out late in the after noon. We want everyone to be able to learn how to make ornaments so we do offer digital patterns and foam through our supply shop. We also have many free designs available through our YouTube channel so anyone can have the opportunity to learn.

Since it is nearly impossible to join this club; are the patterns available for purchase as a digital. Don’t really care either way if I get the fabric or not, I am just interested in the pattern.
All of our Christmas Club patterns are based on patterns we’ve done in the past. Some of them are exclusive to our other club, but please feel free to reach out to our support team at staciann@theornament.com with any questions about specific ornaments. We’re always happy to help!
Not everyone can be on a computer at a set time of day to join the club. Is there not a way to take the top 350 ( or whatever the number is) people from the waiting list and give them the spots first? I am not sure it is a waiting list so much as an email subscription claiming to be a waiting list without the benefit of actually getting into the club.
I knew ornamenting was popular, but didn’t know it was that popular. Have tried to get in for the past hour and have missed it!! Christmas Club is closed, “dang it”! Well, I guess the saying goes “better luck on another day!” Thank you for opening this up to more of us ornamenters with you and hopefuly those like me will be able to get on board soon. I am enjoying being a part of the Ornament Girl world! It is very addicting and fun to watch the patterns come to life.
I love this club. I have been with you for a very long time. I like the digital because you can use what fabrics you have or look for it on the web. Etsy has a lot. You are taking a lot of flack but there is the digital for another way. You still have PDF, so many ways.

I’ve been trying since the opening time stated to join the club and nothing happens. I assume it was full again within a matter of seconds. If so, this is very disappointing.

Well that was really disappointing. I set my alarm got on at exactly noon then the site wouldn’t load. By the time it did at 2 minutes past it was already sold out.
After reading all of the comments, I am wondering if there are individuals that do get into the clubs. Also, is there anyone else on the web that does this as well?

Sadly, I’ve learned not to even try anymore to to get a spot in a club or Special ornament. Even if I am sitting at the computer the second it opens up I am never one of the lucky ones. I can’t figure that one out. Then I’m upset and frustrated for the remainder of the day. Not worth those feelings.

I didn’t get your email till 1:27, by that time you had sold out. I understand that you opened enrollment at 1pm. Why did it take so long to get your email? Please give the time you will open on central standard time when you email us again for the December opening.
If I am correct if you are an OG club member you would not get the email about this wonderful program and I don’t think anyone would be so dishonest and do that. I have been an OG girl since the beginning, I missed out I even had my alarm set and that did not help. Better luck next time

Absolutely disappointing, I have been a customer and been on the waiting list for 2 or 3 years now and I always miss out because I live on the opposite side of the world and they are released while we are asleep. I’ll just unsubscribe there is no point for us over here, this is another year I missed out and instead of being disappointed again I’ll just leave.
Hi Stacey, I am so very sorry about the disappointment! We were not open to international membership during this club opening, I am so incredibly sorry! We do want you to be able to learn this fun craft. If you are hoping to be a member of one of our clubs, I would recommend our digital Ornament Girls Club, which will have a club opening in a few months. Since that club opening is digital, we don’t have to limit the number of members who can join while we’re open, so the time difference wont be a problem. Hi Margaret, I am so very sorry about any disappointment. We are a small team and we cut and assemble our kits by hand so we do have to limit the number of members in our Christmas Club kit. We had 500 spaces available this time and they did all sell out late in the after noon. We want everyone to be able to learn how to make ornaments so we do offer digital patterns and foam through our supply shop. We also have many free designs available through our YouTube channel so anyone can have the opportunity to learn.

Not everyone can be on a computer at a set time of day to join the club. Is there not a way to take the top 350 ( or whatever the number is) people from the waiting list and give them the spots first? I knew ornamenting was popular, but didn’t know it was that popular. Have tried to get in for the past hour and have missed it!! Christmas Club is closed, “dang it”! Well, I guess the saying goes “better luck on another day!” Thank you for opening this up to more of us ornamenters with you and hopefuly those like me will be able to get on board soon. I am enjoying being a part of the Ornament Girl world! It is very addicting and fun to watch the patterns come to life.
I love this club. I have been with you for a very long time. I like the digital because you can use what fabrics you have or look for it on the web. Etsy has a lot. You are taking a lot of flack but there is the digital for another way. You still have PDF, so many ways.

Well that was really disappointing. I set my alarm got on at exactly noon then the site wouldn’t load. By the time it did at 2 minutes past it was already sold out.
After reading all of the comments, I am wondering if there are individuals that do get into the clubs. Also, is there anyone else on the web that does this as well?

Sadly, I’ve learned not to even try anymore to to get a spot in a club or Special ornament. Even if I am sitting at the computer the second it opens up I am never one of the lucky ones. I can’t figure that one out. Then I’m upset and frustrated for the remainder of the day. Not worth those feelings.
Same here! I think I will just give up and find something else to occupy my time. It is beyond frustrating to try and get it to get a spinning ball and when you can get in it is full.

I’ve been on waiting lists for VIP and Christmas clubs. They are always sold out. How do you advance on the list? It seems like there is no use putting your name on waiting lists because they are always filled or sold out
Hi Susan, I am so sorry you missed the Christmas Club opening. They do typically go quickly so my best advice is to try joining as soon as possible, the closest to the email arriving in your inbox the better. So sorry about you missing out today though, I know that has to be disappointing.
Why not consider a rotating waiting list? That way the same people won’t always be first and the rest have a hance to get in also.

Penny, I’m so sorry you weren’t able to gran a spot this opening. We are going to open again this November though and hopefully you’ll be able to join us then. If, in the meantime, you’d like to know the fabrics we’re using for any particular Christmas Club ornament you’re welcome to email us and we’d be happy to share those fabric names with you. Hi Laurence, I’m so sorry for your disappointment. We had only a certain amount of spots open and once they were filled the club was closed again. We can only make so many kits at a time but I am very sorry you’re disappointed and we completely understand your feedback. 🙁
I’ve been trying since midnight on the 24th to no avail. THEN I noticed that many of these emails are dated 2021 & 2020 as well as 10/2022! Is/was the Christmas Club membership open on the 10/24/22 or not?
Hi Lynne, we open the Christmas Club every year if we have spaces available. We did open the club on October 24th of 2022. The spots sold out in about an hour. I’m so sorry you weren’t able to join us this time!
