Hi! What size seed beads did you use for the legs? I didn’t realize how many sizes those beads come in.

    • StaciAnn Lowry on October 11, 2021 at 5:42 pm

Hi Tina! I didn’t realize it either! They measured about 2mm. But you could really use any you like, just as long as you keep the total length of each of those leg sections about 1-1/2″ long in total. You’d just use more or less beads depending on their size.

This is so cute Staci❣️❣️ I have gathered all my supplies except the white spacer beads for the eyes 👀. CAN YOU give a source or link for those? Please!

      • Victoria McBride on October 14, 2021 at 3:24 pm

That is really cool. I have to try it. Thank you StaciAnn.

  3. Florence on October 14, 2021 at 3:30 pm

Have you ever thought that ironing the band before attaching to cover the other pins?

    • Janelle - Ornament Girls Club on October 16, 2021 at 3:35 pm

Hi Florence, in general ironing is fine, but if you’re pulling the fabric tight enough it isn’t necessary. And if you do want to iron, you absolutely can do that, but it will make it harder to adjust the width of the band as you go around, should you need to adjust the band. I hope that helps? Happy ornamenting! Janelle

I love this one! I’m making it for my granddaughter for Halloween. One thing you can use to speed up the spider is a bead spinner. You just hold the wire in the spinner bowl until you have the length you need. I believe they sell them at Michaels, Hobby Lobby & Amazon just to name a few places.

Love this, is there a printable instruction for this? I don’t always have my computer available for the instructions.
    Thank you

    • Sarah Cinocco on September 30, 2023 at 10:58 pm

Hi Amy, we do not have a printable step by step tutorial for this ornament. The free tutorial does include a printable supply list to help you get started though. Happy Ornament-ing!

You could actually use sequins beads for the eyes if you like, as they have a hole in the middle of them- just a thought.
