I only have the small half hemi. I was so happy to find it in my stash of balls but this takes the large one. Is there a way to figure this out using the small hemi? Just bear in mind I have no math skills whatsever to go along with my sense of no direction-haha. Can you give me any help with this? I don’t want to order just one half hemi and I know the shipping will cost more than the half hemi. Thanks for any help or tips!!! Karen Cheney

Hi Karen, this pattern uses a template to create the tree shape. You could print it out at a smaller scale, or you could just trace a smaller version using the original size as a guide. Once you have that shape, you can follow the same directions to create your beautiful Oh Christmas Tree ornament!

Thanks Sarah, I just cut the tree template 1/4″ smaller on just the sides. I didn’t change the trunk sizel I also trace the circle shape using the smaller hemi. I did use the exact same fabric sized pieces for everything. I used the smaller ribbon for the tree and trunk and it worked out great. I only used 5 of the 6-5″ squares on the back. Thanks for the help and I love how it turned out. Thanks for your patience and helping me-I was panicking just a bit. I will say that I had to move all the pins on the folds because I pinned them too low. I will remember this for the next time-my finger is a bit sore-haha. What a blessing, Karen Cheney

How much of the green ribbon did it take with a 3/8” ribbon? Just wanting to get an idea.

Hi Georgia, I am so sorry! I don’t have the exact measurement. I know when I made mine, I kept it on the spool and just cut it to the length that worked.
