I have just learned of your site/classes/kits and I am blown away! This ornament is sooo cute. It is very imaginative. I am interested in the Christmas kits though. I don’t decorate much except for Christmas. I love my tree and look forward to making ornaments to pass down to my girls. I am 74 and it sure sounds like a fun project for me!
Hi DeLoris, We’re so glad to hear you’re excited about ornament-ing! We do have a club where you get a kit to make a Christmas themed ornament each month. We’re not open for new members right now, but I hope you’ll check it out when we have those club openings. https://ornamentgirls.club/christmas/
Good morning. Where do you find the tiny sequins you supply on you kits? The only ones I can find are bigger than I’d like. Thank you.
Hi Gail,
We don’t use any sequins in this ornament, but we do use seed beads. You can find these in many sizes and colors at most craft stores ( we got ours from Joann Fabrics). If you are looking for sequins, I would suggest Carwright’s Sequins. They have a huge variety and you will be able to find what you need.
You could actually use sequins beads for the eyes if you like, as they have a hole in the middle of them- just a thought.
Love this, is there a printable instruction for this? I don’t always have my computer available for the instructions.
Thank you
Hi Amy, we do not have a printable step by step tutorial for this ornament. The free tutorial does include a printable supply list to help you get started though. Happy Ornament-ing!
I love this one! I’m making it for my granddaughter for Halloween. One thing you can use to speed up the spider is a bead spinner. You just hold the wire in the spinner bowl until you have the length you need. I believe they sell them at Michaels, Hobby Lobby & Amazon just to name a few places.
Is this a new group, the artist ornament???? Please share more.
Thanks!!!!
Hi Gay, this is a new collection of designs. We will have more soon! Thanks.
Hello! Where can I find the spider kit please?
Hi Mary, we’re out of stock right now but hope to have more to list in a week or two. Thanks!
Hi! Did I miss the spider kits already? Thanks!
Hi Jen, nope, we haven’t listed them yet. So you haven’t missed out.
Thank Goodness, he’s tooooo darn cute not to get!!!!!!!!!
Have you ever thought that ironing the band before attaching to cover the other pins?
Hi Florence, in general ironing is fine, but if you’re pulling the fabric tight enough it isn’t necessary. And if you do want to iron, you absolutely can do that, but it will make it harder to adjust the width of the band as you go around, should you need to adjust the band. I hope that helps? Happy ornamenting! Janelle
Thank you Staci, this is so adorable
You’re so welcome, Gloria! I’ll be sure to pass along your feedback to her and the team. We’re so glad you love it.
Hi! What size seed beads did you use for the legs? I didn’t realize how many sizes those beads come in.
Hi Tina! I didn’t realize it either! They measured about 2mm. But you could really use any you like, just as long as you keep the total length of each of those leg sections about 1-1/2″ long in total. You’d just use more or less beads depending on their size.
This is so cute Staci❣️❣️ I have gathered all my supplies except the white spacer beads for the eyes 👀. CAN YOU give a source or link for those? Please!
Hi Mary, thank you SO much for your feedback! And you can find the spacer beads here: https://theornamentgirl.com/market/product/flat-ivory-beads/ Have a great day!
That is really cool. I have to try it. Thank you StaciAnn.
