If you make the band 1 1/4″, it’s to thin. Yours in the video, looks wider.
Hi Pamela, if you are finding that the 1-1/4″ piece is too narrow for the band, you can also try folding the band in less or cutting a slightly larger piece. Since this final piece is used to cover the pins, you can get really creative with you finish up your box. I hope that helps!

You mention that the band around the center is a little wider. All the strips on the supply sheet are 1 1/4″.
