Are these cute little birds done on a 3” round or oval disc ?
Hi Peggy, the Whimsical birds are made on the oval disc foam shape. Happy Ornament-ing!
I like this the new voice on the pattern videos but I’m also curious as to where Staci is.
Hi Barbara, Staci is still working behind the scenes to help design and create beautiful patterns for The Ornament Girls! We have brought on some new content creators to help us get more videos out so we can share even more with our amazing members. 🙂
Is there a trick to inserting the feet? I am really struggling with getting them inserted through the fabric as there is no point on the eye pin.
Hi Jennifer, I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble attaching the feet! The long looped pins that we carry in our supply shop do have a pointed end that is perfect for this kind of project. If you are using pins that don’t have a point, you can try creating a hole using a pin first and then attaching your feet. You may need to add some glue as well to help them hold in place.
Thanks Sarah. I ended up ordering some from the supply shop. I didn’t realize that they were pointed and was trying to use some pins I already had at home from jewelry making.
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with hardware items. When you list #20 wire for the bird’s feet, is that the same as 20 gage wire?
Hi Joyce, yes it would be 20 gauge wire.
Thank you. I wanted to make sure I was getting what works best for the bird’s feet.
So cute!
Can’t wait to make one!
Thanks OG!!!
This is a really adorable pattern, thanks to Darlene for coming up with it. When will be hearing back from Stacy? Enjoy Kennedy, but missing hearing from Stacy.
Hi Donna, we are so happy to hear that you love this new pattern! Staci Ann does plan to continue to make videos as well, but we’re so glad to hear you are enjoying Kennedy’s videos.
