Good morning, do you have a pattern for the pincone to use ribbon, rather then fabric?
Hi Emily,
We don’t have a video tutorial that shows the Pine Cone pattern specifically with ribbon, but we do have a video that will give you some tips for using ribbon in place of fabric. You can find that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5AVQmh8pWQ&t=49s
Hopefully you can adapt these tips to make your Pine Cone!

I’m not seeing that you have purchased this pattern, so you won’t have access to the eBook. Hi! Can I use this pattern to cover a pumpkin if yes how do I go about it?
Hi Claudette, this pattern wasn’t designed for a pumpkin shape, but you could absolutely use the techniques to cover a pumpkin form. We don’t have a tutorial for that style of a pumpkin at this time, so you may need to experiment a little bit to get the right look. I hope you’ll give it a try! Happy Ornament-ing!

Staci, thank you for posting the extra videos showing how you did the swirled pine cone. Once I understood how to start the swirl, I was “off to the races”. I did the triangle fold and for the uppermost part of my egg, I cut the rectangles in half and did the smaller triangle fold. For the final rounds I folded the sides in on the triangles and was able to use just one pin to hold each modified triangle in place. My bow easily covered that last pin. I used 16 pieces each of two colors and 32 pieces of my third color, spacing the tips of the triangles about 1/2″ apart. Hope you’ll update the printed pattern and hope this info helps others. How many of each color is needed for the ornament challenge? The video only shows using 2 fabrics.
